Red X over the Pilot transducer status icon within the Transducer Status Databar item - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 07-25-17 08:26 AM Red X over the Pilot transducer status icon within the Transducer Status Databar item The Transducer Status Databar data item's Pilot transducer status icon will be overlaid with a red X when any of the following conditions occur: - the MFD has not been interfaced via SeaTalk or via SeaTalkng to a compatible Raymarine autopilot featuring a SeaTalk or a SeaTalkng communications interface - SeaTalk or SeaTalkng communications between the MFD and the autopilot cannot be established or has been interrupted ... troubleshoot the communications path between these products - the MFD Autopilot Controls feature has not been enabled within the MFD's configuration settings ... consult your MFD's operations guide for the command sequence to enable this feature. Accordingly, it would be normal for the Pilot Transducer Status icon to be overlaid with a red X when interfaced to a third party autopilot or when interfaced via NMEA 0183 communications protocol to a Raymarine autopilot. When properly interfaced to a Raymarine autopilot via NMEA 0183 communications protocol or to a compatible third party autopilot, the MFD's Autopilot Controls feature may not be used. While the MFD will be able to pass navigational data to the autopilot by commanding GoTo Waypoint / Cursor Position or Follow Route, it will be necessary to use the autopilot's control head to command the autopilot into its various modes (Standby, Auto, Track, etc.).
