ST 2000 not working and not - skipron - 09-28-17 09:14 AM

displaying on LCD. I have traced the wiring and it is intact. A VOM at Pin 2 (blue) and Pin 1 (brown) of the bulkhead connector reads - 13.3 V. Does this mean that the deck connector was wired backwards and the ST 2000 will not work if connections give a reversed polarity? Is there another way to check this?

The cable from the DC panel has the white wire going to Pin #2 and a black wire going to Pin #1.

The unit is not wired for SeaTalk or any other interface.

The unit is like new and I am not sure it was ever used or found to be working....

Thanks,
Skipron

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Skipron,

The ST2000+ is not designed to function when its power connections are reversed. Per Section 4.3 - Cabling and Socket Installation of the ST1000+ / ST2000+Tiller Pilots Owner's Handbook, pin 1 should be connected to a +12VDC circuit and pin 2 should be connected to -12VDC. Should you find that the tiller pilot has been incorrectly installed with respect to its power connections, it is recommended that these connections be connected to reflect the information found within Section 4.3 and that the tiller pilot then be tested.
