Compatible transducer - rycsailor - 10-05-17 07:34 PM My son has a gS 125 MFD and I want to purchase a sonar attachment for him. He wants an in-hull arrangement for his Carolina Skiff Sea Hunter HFC which has a stepped hull. Can we use a p79 Plastic adjustable transducer with a CP100 sonar? If not what is recommended? RE: Compatible transducer - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 10-06-17 08:32 AM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rycsailor, Q. Can we use a p79 Plastic adjustable transducer with a CP100 sonar? A. The CP100 CHIRP (high conical) / DownVision Sonar Module is not designed for use with 50kHz / 200kHz fishfinder transducers such as the P79. However, should a CP370 1kW 50kHz / 200kHz Fishfinder Sounder Module be installed, then it may be interfaced to the E66008 version of the P79 in-hull transducer ... the latter of which should be installed slightly forward of the step. For improved fishfinding / depth performance, it would be recommended that the A66089 M260 in-hull transducer be used ... it too should be installed forward of the step. |
