SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receiver not responding to activation pings from SiriusXM - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 01-06-16 04:50 PM SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receiver not responding to activation pings from SiriusXM Occasionally, SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receivers which have been out of service for extended periods of time will need to receive a SiriusXM Restoration Signal. This differs from a SiriusXM subscription activation ping. It should additionally be noted that should your Sirius Satellite Weather/Radio receiver require a Restoration Signal, then it must be performed while your equipment is powered ON and prior to requesting a SiriusXM subscription activation ping from Sirius. One may determine whether the SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver requires a SiriusXM Restoration Signal by opening the MFD's Sirius Satellite Radio application. Should the MFD's SiriusXM Satellite Radio application report that it is "Awaiting Radio Data" and/or Channel 184 - Traffic and Weather (will be available irrespective of whether you have an active SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription) is not be audible via an interfaced entertainment system, then the SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver is in need of a SiriusXM Restoration Signal. One may request to receive this signal by contacting Raymarine Product Support (603.324.7900 M-F 0815-1715 Eastern US). The Product Support Team must be supplied with your SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver's ID (ESN). The SiriusXM /Radio receiver must also be powered ON and be receiving good signal strength when the SiriusXM Restoration Signal is transmitted. Alternatively, the SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver may be sent to Raymarine's Product Repair Center to have this service performed. RAYFAQ# |
