Adding and external alarm to an Axiom or a/c/e/eS-Series MFD - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 03-25-16 10:00 AM Adding and external alarm to an Axiom or a/c/e/eS-Series MFD Unlike the E-Series Classic MFDs and C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs, the Axiom and a/c/e/eS-Series MFDs do not feature alarm switching leads to support sounding an external piezoelectric alarms. Those seeking to monitor alarms in a remote location onboard the vessel (ex. stateroom, etc.) will typically install a RMK-9, an a65 MFD, or an Axiom 7 at the remote location(s). The advantage of installing a small MFD such as an a65 MFD or Axiom 7 at the remote location is that not only will the alarm be sounded at that location, but information regarding the nature of the alarm will also be available at that location. The gS-Series MFDs are packaged with a g-Series Video/Alarm Cable with may be interfaced to the gS-Series MFD and Raymarine's E26033 Auxiliary Alarm. RAYFAQ# |
