[CA] Speed log and Depth on E7 MFD - Bfranchini - 12-31-17 09:56 AM

Hello
Could you please list the equipment needed to add a depth finder and speed log functionality to my plain E7? I am not interested in a fish finder, just depth and speed in the water. I live in Canada and my usual vendor is The Binnacle.
Thank you very much and Happy New Year :-)

Bill

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Bill,

Any of the following three options may be used to add depth, speed, and temperature data to an e7 MFD. Each of these options require the addition of a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone should one not be presently installed onboard.
- i40 Bidata System and a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Kit (the latter is installed as a backbone component and may itself constitute a backbone for a simple system)
- i50 Tridata System
- i70 MFID, iTC-5, and instrument depth/speed/temp transducer
- i70 MFID, iTC-5, and separate instrument depth and speed/temp transducers

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to construct a simple backbone.
