[CA] Wireless IP camera to a98 MFD - heatz - 01-10-18 10:15 AM

Since the a98 has wifi connectivity, is it possible to connect to a wifi enabled camera (that is onvif and rtsp streaming enabled) and display it as an IP camera on the a98 camera page? Would make life alot easier rather than having to attach each camera over ethernet cable.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum heatz,

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi communications features of Raymarine's Wi-Fi equipped MFDs running LightHouse II software are limited to the following:
- Searching for / downloading product software updates
- Supporting Raymarine's Mobile apps running on supported mobile devices (e.g. smartphones and tablets).
- communications with Quantum radomes
- Waypoint/route/track data transfer between MFD and mobile device running the Navionics Boating app
- Navionics Freshest Data updates to chart card within the MFD's memory card reader via the Navionics Boating app
- Downloading Theyr weather data

Compatible IP cameras must be interfaced via Ethernet cabling to the Raymarine electronics system. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. A feature request will be logged to consider this feature for inclusion within LightHouse 3 software as well as within software for future MFD designs.
