Adding speed though water features to an Axiom Pro RVX system - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 01-25-18 09:21 AM Adding speed though water features to an Axiom Pro RVX system Unfortunately, Raymarine does not offer RV transducers which sense Speed through water (STW). However, it is possible to interface the MFD to any one of the following to add Speed through the water data to the system: - a CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300/DSM250 compatible transducer (ex. E66008 P79, E66013 P319, E66015 B117, E66085 / E66086 B60, etc) which has been interfaced to a compatible fishfinder speed/temp transducer (E66071 ST800 / P120 (Plastic) - Speed Transducer or E66072 ST800 / P120 (Bronze) - Speed Transducer) (includes Y-Cable). This is often recommended, as the addition of an in-hull or low profile thru-hull transducer may also permit the system to track bottom at greater speeds than may be supported transom mounted transducers. - a CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300/DSM250 compatible fishfinder transducer which either features speed sensing capabilities (ex. P66, B744V, etc.) - an i40 Speed Instrument w/compatible thru-hull or transom mounted instrument Speed/Temp Transducer (requires SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter) - an i40 BiData Instrument w/compatible thru-hull or transom mounted instrument Speed/Temp Transducer(s) (requires SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter) - i50 Speed Instrument w/compatible thru-hull or transom mounted instrument Speed/Temp Transducer - i50 Tridata Instrument w/compatible thru-hull or transom mounted instrument Speed/Temp Transducer(s) - i70/i70S MFID and iTC-5 Analog Instrument Converter w/compatible thru-hull or transom mounted instrument Speed/Temp Transducer(s) - i70/i70S MFID with DST-800 Smart Transducer - interface the MFD to a third party STW sensor supporting NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 communications protocol ... this option is least desirable, as it provides no mechanism for calibration of STW.
