Can a DST800-0 directly replace a existing B17 using same mounting tube, and can be changed while the boat is in the water?

It is recommended that this question be referred to the manufacturer of both of these transducer's Airmar, Inc.. If in the US, it is recommended that Gemeco, Inc. (Airmar’s US distributor (803 693 0777)) be contacted to on this subject.
