[CA] I70 vs A7 - David Fletcher - 02-09-18 04:31 PM I have an I70, I60, AIS650, Ray260 and P70 on my system and plan to add a second I70 to my system. Currently there are A7 mfd at a very attractive price. could an A7 mfd display more, less or similar data than a I70. is it reasonable to consider an A 7 " mfd display as an alternative to a second I70? The system has a larger C series as the main MFD for charting radar etc. thanks David RE: [CA] I70 vs A7 - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 02-09-18 04:42 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum David, When properly interfaced to the system, a-Series MFDs (ax5, ax7, and ax8; where x is the screen size) should be able to display all of the data items supported by an i70 MFID and much more. Should a c-Series MFD (cx5 and cx7) currently be installed onboard, then it would be interfaced to the a-Series MFD via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. This would then permit the c-Series MFD to share all system resources (except for NTSC/PAL video sources (ex. deck/engine camera, DVD video, etc.)) with the a-Series MFD. |
