Raymarine S1000 compatibility - [email protected] - 03-30-16 04:05 PM I just bought a 2005 boat with C80 MFD and a S1000 Auto-Pilot. I am think about replacing the old C80 MFD with a new A-series or E-series MFD. Are there any compatibility issues I need to be aware of? Thanks! Chuck RE: Raymarine S1000 compatibility - Steve - Raymarine - Moderator - 03-31-16 08:25 AM No compatibility issues. Although the new displays do not have the Seatalk 1 interface any longer, they have the newer style Seatalk NG (NMEA 2000). The S1000 is a Seatalk 1 device so you will need to add a Seatalk to Seatalk NG converter. Connect the S1000 course computer via Seatalk to the yellow port on the converter and connect the converter to the Seatalk NG port on the a or e Series MFD using the Seatalk NG port. |
