Can I use the the iOS remote control app if the Raymarine device and the phone are connected to the same WiFi network or does the iOS device have to be connected to the Raymarine device's network?

A. If seeking to simultaneously access the Internet and run the MFD's mobile app, then the MFD's Wi-Fi sharing feature should be used to connect to a Wi-Fi hot spot through which Internet access is available. After doing, then the mobile device's Wi-Fi will be configured to connect to the MFD. Access to the Internet from the mobile device will then occur indirectly via the Wi-Fi connection between the mobile device and the MFD.
