I reciently purchased a Axiom 9, Quantum 2 radar and an HS5 switch.
My boat is a 2007 searay with a Mercury Vessel View unit.
I would like to transfer the data from the Vessel view to the mdf. I contacted Mercury and they stated all I need is there Gateway module which I have on order.
Will I need any type of cable adapter to tie them together. I was told by Mercruiser that the gateway will not hook up to the HS5 as tha HS5 is only high speed data transfer and the Vessel View is not.
Is there a input location on the rear of the mfd that it would plug into.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Mike,
The engine system gateway will need to be interfaced as a spur to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone to which the MFD has also been interfaced as a spur. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.
