Will the AIS100 support VHF radio transmission in the event of power loss - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 04-20-16 08:58 AM Will the AIS100 support VHF radio transmission in the event of power loss The function of the AIS100 Class B AIS Antenna Splitter is ensure that RF energy from only one device (i.e. the AIS Class B transceiver or VHF radio) is being broadcast at any time. This function is designed to protect the receiver circuitry of the AIS transceiver and the VHF radio. VHF radio transmissions will be prioritized over Class B AIS transmissions by the AIS100 Class B AIS Antenna Splitter. Should the circuit supplying power to the AIS100 Class B AIS Antenna Splitter be de-energized, then the AIS100 Class B AIS Antenna Splitter will cease supporting Class B AIS transmissions, but will support VHF reception/transmission.
