We have a raymarine 300 course comatter connected to an st6002 autopilot control head. After a period of about 7 months sailing we recieved a no pilot error. After going through all the recommended testing we could.not get the head to talk to the course computer even using new sea cables and connecting to a different control head the no pilot error persisted. We have a below deck auto pilot mechanism.
Question is without changing the below deck setup on our steering quadrant what course computer would we upgrade to from the 300 that would be compatible with with our below deck system. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Please note that the drive units from older Raymarine autopilots may typically be retained for use with an Evolution autopilot. What model of drive unit (see the part number / serial number plate or stamping on the drive unit) is presently connected to your Type 300 autopilot course computer.
