[CA11] Interfacing with Garmin Autopilot and Transducer? - avetjx - 10-08-18 10:36 AM

Looking find out if the a raymarine axiom can interface with a garmin autopilot 010-00705-15 reactor and a GHP10 pump? Second, is it possible for the axiom to utilize a signal from a Garmin PM265LH thru-hull transducer?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Beer avetjx,

As the third party autopilot's installation guide indicates that it features a NMEA 2000 communications interface, it should simply be possible to interface the Axiom MFD as spur to the currently installed marine electronics system's NMEA 2000 backbone. Should the currently installed NMEA 2000 backbone not feature an unused spur socket, then it would be recommended that another spur socket be added to the backbone and that the networking component(s) used to add the spur to the backbone be from the same manufacturer's components. As the NMEA 2000 port of Raymarine's Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs is terminated with a DeviceNet (M) socket, you may use a NMEA 2000 cable having DeviceNet (F) plug on one end and a DeviceNet plug of the appropriate gender on the other to mate the cable to the backbone's spur socket.
