[CA11] e7D/950AIS/NGW-1-ISO-AIS/Em-trac wiring - dhiggins286 - 10-08-18 03:20 PM Just purchased the NGW-1-ISO-AIS suggested on your site. Can you supply me with a wiring diagram? I want to be sure everything is correct before applying power. Thanks. This recommendation is based upon the fact Raymarine's MFDs are not designed to bridge AIS data received from a NMEA 0183 talker to NMEA 2000. Moving forward with interfacing the MFD to the AIS receiver/transceiver would prevent any of the systems's other devices on the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone which were also capable of displaying AIS data from having access to AIS data. That said, to interface the NGW-1-ISO-AIS to the NMEA 0183 interface of and a/c/e/eS-Series MFD, then it would be recommended that - the MFD's NMEA 0183 IN2+ lead (orange/white) be interfaced to the NGW-1-ISO-AIS's NMEA 0183 OUT+/TX+ lead (white), and - the MFD's NMEA 0183 IN2- lead (orange/green) be interfaced to the NGW-1-ISO-AIS's NMEA 0183 OUT-/TX- lead (blue), - the AIS receiver/transceiver's 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 OUT+/TX+ lead (orange/white) be interfaced to the NGW-1-ISO-AIS's NMEA 0183 IN/RX+ lead (red), and - the AIS receiver/transceiver's 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 OUT-/TX- lead (orange/green) be interfaced to the NGW-1-ISO-AIS's NMEA 0183 IN-/RX- lead (black). |
