[CA11] CP300 with C90W - nvbowfish - 01-22-19 11:21 PM I just recently bought a boat that is equipped with a C90W MFD CP300 sonar box and TM258 transducer. When I power on the C90 it shows that it sees sonar but when I go to transducer settings it does not show my transducer on the list. I have updated the software to 2.35. Am I able to use this set up as is or do I need to change or upgrade parts? RE: [CA11] CP300 with C90W - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 01-23-19 03:43 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum nvbowfish, Sometimes the CP300 will not detect the 1kW sense resistor within a 1kW transducer. When this happens, the 600W transducer list will be presented. This condition may be easily verified by determining whether the displayed transducer list included the B744V transducer. If so, then it is recommended that a Sonar Reset command be executed from the fishfinder settings dialog and that afterwards you then attempt to configure the Fishinder application's Transducer configuration setting. RE: [CA11] CP300 with C90W - nvbowfish - 02-10-19 11:00 PM I was finally able to get back on my boat. I verified software versions on my C90W and CP300 and they are both correct. I did a reset on the CP300 unit and I still don't see my transducer on the list. The only transducers I see are b256/m256, b260/m260/ss560, r99/r199, b258, ss270/b264, b164, r209/r299. RE: [CA11] CP300 with C90W - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 02-11-19 11:18 AM nvbowfish, Unfortunately, the CP300 appears to sense that the transducer is a 1kW transducer (as evidenced by the reported transducer list) rather than a 600W transducer. If the transducer is a Raymarine branded transducer which has not been adapted for use with the CP300, then it would appear that the CP300 has suffered a failure. |
