ST1000 Tiller Pilot - temeraire - 05-04-16 12:37 PM

I'm wondering if this tiller pilot will work when my tiller will be at approximately 25 degrees. The tiller stem is at the floor level of the cockpit. I can put a triangular piece of wood on the tiller to accommodate the tiller pin, but the forces are a little different with a steep angle. I think it will work, but thought I should check if anyone has had an issue with this kind of configuration.
thx

The tiller pilot in order to work correctly will have to be mounted 90 degrees, to the tiller. In order to have an equal amount of "throw" to port and starboard. I have enclosed the Operation Handbook below that goes over installation instructions.

I have the installation instructions and understand the normal lay out. I'm wondering if anyone has installed the pilot on an angled tiller and had success or not.
