[CA11] Axiom Pro S internal sonar question - cc driver - 02-19-19 09:40 AM Good morning to all! The manual for the Axiom Pro 12 S (E70482) cites this MFD as having a “built-in 600W sonar module.†However, the manual for the CP470 CHIRP Sonar Module has a section (2.5) that cites the internal technology of all three Axiom PRO S (9â€, 12â€, 16â€) MFDs as “200W CHIRP sonarâ€. So, my questions are, what is the sonar power rating of the Axiom PRO 12 S? Is it 600 watts, 200 watts, or something else? Thanks for your time and attention. RE: [CA11] Axiom Pro S internal sonar question - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 02-20-19 01:14 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum cc driver, Consistent with the CP470's Installation Guide and as indicated within the FAQ found here, the power output of the CPT-S transducers as well as the low power / high frequency CHIRP conical element of RealVision 3D transducers and DownVision transducers is 200W. Accordingly, whether interfaced to an Axiom DV MFD, Axiom RV MFD, Axiom Pro S MFD, Axiom Pro RVX MFD, eSx8 MFD, ax8 MFD, RVX1000 Sounder Module, or CP100 Sounder Module, the power output to a CPT-S transducer or the low power (200W), high frequency CHIRP (conical) sonar element of a RealVision 3D transducer or DownVision transducer will be 200W. |
