[CA11] Magnum Difference in 4', and 6' Open array - Fish On - 03-13-19 08:30 AM Have a week left to decide if I want a 4-foot 12 KW open array Magnum radar or a 6-foot 12kw open array Magnum radar. What is the difference between a 4 foot and the 6-foot on a 12kw magnum radar? RE: [CA11] Magnum Difference in 4', and 6' Open array - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 03-13-19 01:11 PM Fish On, Power determines a radar transducer's range. Generally speaking, a radome or an open array radar system having a longer array will produce a more detailed image than a radome or an open array radar system having a shorter array. For example, for two object located in close proximity to each other, a radome or an open array radar system having a longer array will generally have a better chance of producing an image indicative of two targets rather than one larger target.
