[CA11] eS98 to networking switch - Seahorse - 04-14-19 07:26 PM

This winter I added a Backbone and Networking switch. I'm having difficulty connecting the switch to my eS98. What cable is used from the switch and where on the back of the eS do I connect?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Seahorse,

What model of network switch did you install?

HS5. The book says to use a e series A06061. It does not plug into anything I own.

What did I order wrong

Seahorse,

The A06061 E-Series to Seatalk Adapter Cable is designed to support interfacing an E-Series Classic MFD's (E80, E120) SeaTalk2/NMEA 2000 port to a spur socket within a system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone ... this adapter is not applicable to eS-Series MFDs. Instead, an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable would be used to interface one of the Ethernet Network sockets of the eS-Series MFD to one of the Ethernet Network sockets of the HS5 RayNet Network Switch.
