[DG11] ST6002 - Fwanky33 - 04-19-19 09:54 AM Here I am very annoyed with my pilot. I sailed with a friend without being very specific about how to use the driver. As a result, he used the bar without disengaging the pilot. And without pressing Standby. Result 2, driver broken. We dismounted the machine, and we see that it is the piece (see photo) that raises worries. The engine runs, but no longer drives the other part. Does anyone know which item to change and how to do it? In addition, I ask myself a question, of course it is necessary to press Standby of the pilot when one takes the bar, but if one leaves the clutch in pilot mode, that abyss or breaks this one. Because to tell the truth until now (I bought the boat two months ago) I used the clutch as a bar brake. Thank you. RE: [DG11] ST6002 - Derek - Raymarine - Moderator - 04-23-19 10:52 AM Hi Fwanky33 Thankyou for your email, unfortunately no photo attached? IF you can resend the photo and details about the drive then I can help further, but in general, if the drive has been operated with the clutch engaged and the pilot in AUTO, then it is likely the clutch mechanism is failed. Normally, it is important to disengage the clutch when STANDBY is pressed. Please update me and I can help further Regards Derek |
