Evolution EV-400, etc.) utilize a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 communications interface rather than the SeaTalk communications found on legacy products (ex. S100, SmartController, etc.) it will be necessary to add a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 data bridging device to the powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone which is presently interfacing the Evolution EV-400 Autopilot components to one another. Raymarine offers the E22158 SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Kit for such purposes. The basestation for the S100 will be interfaced to the SeaTalk (yellow) socket of the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter. |
