Installed software update and now need to recal compass using P70 controller. Please point me to that procedure.

Generally, the p70/p70R Autopilot Control Heads are used with an Evolution autopilot EV-x Sensor Core and ACUx. Should this be the case with your system, then please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.
