Hello,
The I70 package comes with a windsensor + 30m cable.
Windsensor comes on top of the mast. The mast is 14 meters high and every winter will be removed from the boat. For my top and steam light and VHF cables I have connector on deck, so I can easily unplug these cables and removed the mast.
Is it possible to cut the windsensor cable in half (make connectors on each end) and have those connecters on deck so I can unplug the cable from the mast from the boat?
Instead of having to take a 30m cable out of the boat?

Thank you for the enquiry,
The normal practice is to cut the cable at the bottom of the mast, leave the cable long enough to run through a gland in the deck and then join the cable inside the boat, (where it is dry), in a waterproof junction box. This will enable the cable to be disconnected at the bottom of the mast when it is removed for winter lay up.
