RAY218 VHF Reception/squelch problem - Matt - 05-31-16 08:39 AM
My 218 transmits fine but is not receiving unless the squelch is in the constant static range. The only exception is that weather transmissions are clear. All connections are clean and tight. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Matt,
The problem is symptomatic of a VHF radio which is experiencing a problem with its receiver circuitry. It is recommended that the VHF radio be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench tested/serviced.

Can this be repaired in CURACAO, Netherland Antilles... I have the same issue...

While the VHF radio may be removed from the vessel by a Caribbean Raymarine dealer/installer , it will be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
