Installed cp 370 and b260 thru hull and the transducer will only pick up in shallow water. It is installed on a 28 Mc Keecraft any ideas ?

At approximately what depth does the fishfinder lose bottom contact? Does the problem occur when the vessel is anchored or drifting? Does the problem occur when all other systems and engines are switched off?
