[DG11] Rudder reference Range - engenharia2 - 11-04-19 01:04 PM Hey Guys, How are you? I hope you well We have a problem in a system with a ACU 300 and a third part rudder reference, we could not finish the docksize wizard, the system always stopped before the end, I saw that our rudder work has a range of 5K, but Do you know the maximum and minimum that our system recognize? The system recognized the sides, if I steer do STD or Port, P70RS showed without problem, but if I press AUTO a Error Message appear. The system could identify the magnetics but does not matters what I try the rudder limit is always 10 degrees. Do you have any ideas to test in the system? Thanks in advance Felipe Muniz RE: [DG11] Rudder reference Range - Derek - Raymarine - Moderator - 11-07-19 10:45 AM Hi Felipe, We would of course advise using the Raymarine Rudder reference unit. This has a max range of 5k ohm and potentiometer has a full deflection from one end of the resistance to the other of 340 degrees, in practice the effective rudder deflection is + or - 70 degrees either side of the central position, ( which will be 2.5K). Does this help? Regards Derek |
