[CA11] eS75 North Up only - caprirg - 11-12-19 05:27 PM

After installing my Quantum Radar, the mfd will only show north up and center for off set. This occurs regardless of speed. After switching to full offset and course or head up, the unit swithches back to north up and center. Prior to the radar being changed all worked properly. I have tried this using software ver 17 and ver 19. What has changed? Help

Roger

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Roger,

With regard to Head Up / Course Up Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset features, Heading and Vessel Position are required by a stationary or slow moving (<2kts) vessel to support these features. In the absence of Heading, the Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset may be configured once underway at a SOG greater than 2kts (signaled by the vessel icon changing from a black dot to the selected vessel icon). Additionally, in the absence of Heading the Chart application will revert to North Up and display the vessel's position as a black dot when the vessel's SOG drops below 2kts. Accordingly, should any of the following data items report dashes for its value, then changes to the Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset will not be supported when the vessel's SOG less than 2kts:
- Heading (not to be confused with COG)
- Vessel Position

Please note that if the Chart Synch (MENU->PRESENTATION->VIEW & MOTION->CHART SYNC) setting has been configured has been configured to Chart or Radar, than changes to the Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset features will also not be supported. As such should the items of the above listed paragraph have been verified and one not be able to change the Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset features, then it would be recommended that the Chart Sync setting within each instance of the Chart application, be inspected to ensure that it has been configured OFF. After having configured the desired Chart Orientation and Vessel icon Offset, then the Chart Sync feature may be reconfigured to the desired setting.

Should the problem persist after having verified the above listed item, then it would be recommended that the MFD's settings be reset (HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->SYSTEM SETTINGS).
