Hi, there's mention of backing up data when updating:
"recommendedthatyoualwaysbackupyourUserdatabeforeperformingasoftwareupdate"
Sorry, copied from the pdf manual, no idea why there are no spaces.
The only card in my new Axiom is the Navionics SD card which cost nearly £200.
Am I really meant to back up to this ... and how?
There's just the bald statement that you should, no further detail.
And what if "something" goes wrong? How do I get the data back and how does it not affect Navionics?

Dear Boatname,
Thank you for your post.
We do not recommend using your Navionics chart card for backing up data. Use a microSD card formated to FAT32, 8 or 16GB will be sufficient.
There are instructions on backing up your data on page 65 of the Lighthouse 3.11.42 advanced user manual.
