display lighting illumination

The display lighting has stopped working. ST4000+. The illumination of the control unit is at "courtesy level". Changing the lighting level from OFF to 1 to 2 to 3, does not change the brightness of the display. Except for a dim display, the unit is fully functional. What is going on?

Hello charlieboss,

I would double check the power and power connections. Low power would cause what you are seeing. If it is not low power it would appear the unit is failing. There is no longer service for the ST4000+ so it would need to be replaced with the EV-100.
