Interfacing an A series MFD to a Yamaha Comm. Link
Hello,
I would like to interface a MFD to my twin F250GET motors.

I would like to make sure I have all items/part number needed for this interface before I place an order

1 ECL-100
1 T70134 Sea Talk Starter Kit
1 E70242 Raymarine Yamaha link cable (not sure about this one)

Is there anything else I may be missing??

Thanks

RE: Interfacing an A series MFD to a Yamaha Comm. Link
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Hayden737,

Please click here to view a web page addressing how to interface the ECI-100 to the CommandLink hub.

The ECI-100 and MFD will each need to be interfaces a spurs to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone. The ECI-100 will need to be interfaced to a spur socket within the CommandLink backbone via the E70242 Raymarine Yamaha link cable. I generally recommend creating the SeaTalkng backbone using components, backbone cables & spur cables of appropriate length rather than that being limited to the contents of a SeaTalkng Starter Kit. That said, the SeaTalkng Starter Kit contains the following components:
- A06064: SeaTalkng 5-way Connector
- A06031: SeaTalkng Backbone Terminator (x2)
- A06040: SeaTalkng Spur Cable 3m
- A06049: SeaTalkng Power Cable

As indicated above, the ECI-100 and MFD will each need to be interfaced via an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Spur Cable. As the SeaTalkng Starter Kit contains only one SeaTalkng Spur Cable, a second SeaTalkng Spur Cable will need to be purchased.
