AR200/CAM210 augmented reality
Any chance the new AR200 will help stabilize video feeds from thermal cameras like the M232?
If not, how does the CAM210 work at night with the augmented reality? Even if the camera can’t pick an AIS return or navigational aid visually at night will the AR overlay the approximate position/data boxes on the CAM210 video feed? Thanks in advance, Lynn |

RE: AR200/CAM210 augmented reality
Hello Lynn,
The AR capability doesn't (yet) work with thermal cameras, only CAM210 and CAM220. Of course doing the same thing with a thermal image would be a natural progression in due course. The CAM210 / CAM220's AR view should overlay objects exactly the same at night as during the day, and in fact that could be a great way of identifying, for example, which light you can see is which channel mark. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999. Interests: Diagnosis of problems in sonar/fishfinders, NMEA2000, ethernet comms, autopilots, thermal cameras Location: Sydney, Australia. Please don't PM me asking for direct support, please ask a public question instead so that others can see the question and answer. Forum posts will always be answered before PM requests. |
