Ray215 Squelch

My squelch cannot be turned low enough. At the minimum the display shows two bars and nothing comes through. It cannot be turned down to a point where the radio makes static like it did when it was new. Transmission works fine. Is there a way to adjust the squelch level lower or do I need to send it to repair or is it hopeless?

Based upon the symptoms reported, the radio's receiver circuitry would seem to have suffered a failure and it would be recommended that the Ray215 be replaced (typically w/Ray50 or Ray60) or sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
