SonarChart Live - Upload?
How does the SonarChart Live work in v17? Does it automatically upload the sonarchart logs to navionics if connected to a wi-fi network on the intrernet? If so, is there any notice and indication that it has uploaded the logs? How do we check that this is working?

RE: SonarChart Live - Upload?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum jeokeefe,

When sonar logging is enabled and the SonarChart Live feature is enabled, the MFD will record sonar logs to the chart card and display the logged sonar bathys along the vessel's track. This feature is covered in Section 14.23 - Navionics Advanced Menu
options of the LightHouse MFDs R17 Operations Manual. Sonar logs may be uploaded via Wi-Fi to a mobile device running the Navionics Boating app. Sonar logs may also be uploaded by bringing the chart card to a computer having access to the Internet and is running the Navionics Chart Installer program. Further information concerning how to upload sonar logs may be found on the Navionics web site.

RE: SonarChart Live - Upload?
Chuck,
Is it possible to save the personal bathymetry contours that ones own boat sounder creates in SonarCharts Live as an overlay to be used when revisiting the same body of water or harbor entry later?

It's of lesser value to show real time soundings once the boat is already over the water.

RE: SonarChart Live - Upload?
Keds,

It is indeed possible to do as you have suggested. You only need configure the SonarCharts Live feature on when desiring to see the logged bathymetry.
