A68 Battery Drain
I went to start my boat and the newly purchased battery was dead. I read somewhere that the A68 draws current with the unit off. How much current is drawn with unit off, is it likely that this drained my battery in one week of not using boat?

RE: A68 Battery Drain
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum pla1234567,

The following currents were measured by a6x MFDs when powered from a 12V circuit and the MFD was switched OFF via the MFD's Power button:
- a65: 0.0 mA
- a67: 4.6 mA
- a68: 2.2 mA

Battery depletion time is determined by the formula stated below:
Battery Life = Battery Capacity in mA per hr / Load Current in mA per hr

Should should your MFD be found draw significantly more current than stated above when the MFD has been switched OFF via its Power button, then the MFD and its power cable should be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
