Upgrade E120 Classic to Axiom 12
I want to upgrade my E120 classic but have several questions regarding the new Axiom 12 RV.
1) I will be using my DSM300 and B744V transducer for the time being. When the new Axiom 12 RV transducers become available will they mostly be used for fishing/trolling at slower speeds? I have read mixed reviews of what might be coming.
2) Would I continue to use my DSM300 and B744 transducer with the 50/200 and mount a second RV through hull transducer?
Thanks in advance for your response!

RE: Upgrade E120 Classic to Axiom 12
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Point Taken,

Q1) I will be using my DSM300 and B744V transducer for the time being. When the new Axiom 12 RV transducers become available will they mostly be used for fishing/trolling at slower speeds? I have read mixed reviews of what might be coming.
A1) The RealVision 3Dâ„¢ transducers are indeed designed for use at trolling speeds. Please click here to view a thread in which I had addressed the anticipated release schedule for the Thru-hull RealVision 3Dâ„¢ transducers.

Q2) Would I continue to use my DSM300 and B744 transducer with the 50/200 and mount a second RV through hull transducer?
A2) It is indeed possible to do as you have suggested. The DSM may be interfaced via Ethernet communications the the AXIOM MFD. Alternatively, the transducer may be unplugged from the DSM and instead connected to an A80492 Axiom RV to 25-pin RV & 7-pin CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300 Compatible Transducers Y-Cable ... for Axiom RV MFDs which will be interfaced to a RealVision 3Dâ„¢ transducer and additionally be interfaced to a CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300 compatible transducer.
