E120 to ES127 upgrade
Wish to bypass the DSM300 since it has performed unsatisfactorily. Is there a longer version of E66066 cable? Need about 1.5 feet longer. If not is there a short transducer extension cable? Is there a benefit to leaving the DSM 300 in place and using the A80160 cable? Thank you.

Rich

RE: E120 to ES127 upgrade
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Rich,

The cable of a transducer which has been designed to be mated to the transducer socket of a CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300/DSM250 may be extended up to 5m with an E66010 Transducer Extension Cable. The E66066 Transducer Adapter Cable may then be added to this extension cable to permit the currently installed transducer to be mated to the Transducer socket of the eS127 MFD. The power output of an ax7/cx7/e7D/ex7/eSx7 MFD's transducer socket is limited 600W, whether it is interfaced to a 600W, 1kW, or 2kW transducer. Should the currently installed transducer be a 600W transducer, then performance should be very close to that of the DSM. However, should you be fishing in depths greater than 1000' and a 1kW or 2kW be installed onboard, then depth performance would similar to that of a 600W transducer. Should a 1kW or 2kW transducer be installed onboard, and you fish in depths greater than 1000', and the DSM be unreliable, then it would be recommended that the DSM be replaced with a CP370.
