Interfacing a stereo head unit to a MFD w/LightHouse II software

Raymarine a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs running LightHouse II v19.03 software are designed and tested for use with compatible Rockford Fosgate and Fusion marine entertainment systems having a NMEA 2000 communications interface. Please see Chapter 25.1 Fusion link application overview of the LightHouse II Release 19 Operating Instructions for the list of Fusion entertainment systems which have been tested and are supported for use with Raymarine MFDs running LightHouse II v19.03 software. Chapter 22.1 Compatible entertainment systems (Audio app) overview of the LightHouse II Release 19 Operating Instructions for the list of Rockford Fosgate entertainment systems which have been tested and are supported for use with Raymarine MFDs running LightHouse II v19.03 software. Fusion True Marine stereo head units are manufactured with Ethernet and/or NMEA 2000 communications interfaces. For maximum performance, it is recommended that Fusion stereos featuring an Ethernet interface (i.e. 7xx Series) be interfaced to Raymarine's a/c/e/eS-Series MFDs running LightHouse II v19.03 software via an Ethernet network rather than via a NMEA 2000 network. In a simple system, the Fusion True Marine stereo head unit's Ethernet socket may be interfaced to the MFD's Ethernet network socket (RayNet (M)) via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RJ45 (M) Cable. In a larger system, the Fusion True Marine stereo head unit's Ethernet socket may be interfaced to the Ethernet network socket (RayNet (M)) of a HS5 RayNet Network Switch using an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RJ45 (M) Cable.

Fusion True Marine stereo head units featuring a NMEA 2000 communications interface (ex. 7xx Series, 6xx Series, 70 Series, 205 Series, etc.) and Rockford Fosgate stereo systems may be interfaced to a Data Master a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD running LightHouse II v19.03 software via a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone. A simple SeaTalkng backbone may be constructed from the following components:

- A06064 SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector
- A06031 SeaTalkng Termination Plugs x 2
- A06049 SeaTalkng Power Cable ... connected to 12VDC power circuit protected with a 5A fuse
- Fusion accessory unpowered NMEA 2000 Connection Cable ... not required for Fusion stereo head unit NMEA 2000 Cables terminated with a DeviceNet (M) plug
- A06045 0.4m SeaTalkng to DeviceNet (F) Adapter or A06075 1m SeaTalkng to DeviceNet (F) Adapter ... to be connected between the above listed unpowered Fusion NMEA 2000 Accessory Cable or the marine entertainment system's NMEA 2000 DeviceNet (M) plug and a spur socket of the SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector
- Axiom/Axiom Pro Data Master MFD: A06045 0.4m SeaTalkng to DeviceNet (F) Adapter or A06075 1m SeaTalkng to DeviceNet (F) Adapter
- eS/gS-Series Data Master MFD: an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Spur Cable to interface the MFD to a spur socket of the SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector.

NOTE: When interfacing with a Rockford Fosgate entertainment system, LightHouse II's Audio app will be used to interface with the entertainment system. When interfacing with a Fusion entertainment system, LightHouse II's Fusion app will be used to interface with the entertainment system. As the default set of page icons does not include one which has been configured to run the Fusion app, it is recommended that those who have interfaced a Fusion entertainment system to their MFD running LightHouse II software edit their MFD's homescreen to reconfigure the Audio page Icon to instead run the Fusion app.
