[CA11] T435 with Axiom Pro: disable auto start-up
Ever since we swapped our E90 MFD's for Axiom Pros our FLIR T435 "wakes up" automatically when starting the MFD's, meaning the lens leaves its park position and faces forward. This might be useful if one intends to use FLIR full-time, but we only activate ours for night searches and keep the lenses in park position at other times to prevent salt and dirt build-up on the lenses. Any way of disabling the automatic activation of the FLIR when starting the Axioms?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum RCMSAR-1,

Please be aware that the thermal camera may be commanded into and out of Standby mode via the LightHouse II and LightHouse 3 menus (MENU->STANDBY). When in Standby mode, pan and tilt thermal cameras will return to the park position. There is a way to cause the thermal camera to remain in Standby mode when power is applied. This is accomplished via camera's web interface (settings, P/T settings). However, this power-up settings change can't be achieved via the LightHouse II or LightHouse 3 user interfaces. If seeking to address this via the thermal camera's web interface, a PC must be interfaced to the thermal camera. Generally, it would be recommended that this be done with the aid of Raymarine/FLIR's thermal camera support technician (Brian - Raymarine). Brian will be back in the office next week and if seeking support via the camera's web browser, it would be recommended that you PM Brian.

Most accomplish this end by connecting the thermal camera's power leads or POE to a dedicated switch, permitting the camera to only be brought online when needed. The camera would be commanded into Standby mode prior to switching the camera's power circuit off.
