[CA11] X10 AUTO PILOT - Type 2 linear drive
I have a sailboat with an older autopilot using a Type 2 linear drive. Im wondering if I replaced the course computer with an X10 smartpilot would the Type 2 linear drive be compatible?

RE: [CA11] X10 AUTO PILOT - Type 2 linear drive
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum mattersfeld,

An X10 autopilot course computer is not designed to support the power requirements of a Type II Linear Drive. Within Raymarine's legacy autopilots, an S3/S3G or SPX30 autopilot would have been required. I seeking an Evolution autopilot, a T70161 EV400 Sail would be recommended.
