Welcome to the forum,

Masthead transducer cable comes with bare ends for exactly that reason - to make the running of the cable in conduits easier. Depending on the length of the mast it may be necessary to install a terminal junction box at the base, below deck and then another cable to the instrument. Mount the terminal box somewhere that will not have water running into it and causing corrosion problems down the track.
