Adding Axiom or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD(s) to a network featuring E-Series Classic MFDs

Unfortunately, E-Series Classic MFDs (E80, E120) may not be interfaced to an Ethernet (SeaTalkhs/RayNet) network which also features Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFD(s) or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD(s) (note the difference in the case of the letters used within these model names). While it is possible to interface the Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFD(s) or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD(s) to a common SeaTalkng backbone to which the E-Series Classic MFDs have also been interfaced, communications would be limited to alphanumeric, GPS, instrument, navigational, and system status data between these systems. Correspondingly, it is not possible for E-Series Classic MFDs to share graphical data such as cartography, radar, fishfinder, or Sirius Marine Weather with Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFD(s) or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD(s).

Should full functionality dual station or multi-station capability be desired, then it would be necessary to replace the E-Series Classic MFDs with a complete suite of Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs. Any combination Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs may be installed within a network of Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs. Any combination a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs may be installed within a network of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs.
