RE: Best Way to Speed up Wheel Pilot Response
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum CW,

The rotational rate of the autopilot drive motor is not user configurable. Rate of vessel turn is determined by how much rudder is applied.

Please note that rudder hard over to hard over time is a data item which is meant to be measured by the operator and then entered into the autopilot to let the autopilot know how responsive the vessel's steering system is. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. What is the hard over to hard over time for your vessel?

The autopilot's Response Level configuration setting is used to control how tightly the autopilot will maintain course and the rate of turn that will be applied when the autopilot initiates course corrections. If seeking to have the autopilot maintain the tightest course and employ the highest rate of turn, then it would be recommended that this Response Level be configured to the Performance setting.
