What differentiates an Axiom Pro RVX MFD from an Axiom Pro S MFD?
What differentiates an Axiom Pro RVX MFD from an Axiom Pro S MFD?

Axiom Pro S MFDs are differentiated from the Axiom RVX MFDs by the type of internal fishfinder processing circuitry which is embedded within the MFD. Similarly, Axiom DV MFDs are differentiated from the Axiom RV MFDs by the type of internal fishfinder processing circuitry which is embedded within the MFD. Axiom MFDs lacking DV or RV in their product name lack any internal fishfinder circuitry.
Accordingly, it is not the style of transducer plug that one should necessarily focus on, but rather the type of internal fishfinder processing circuitry which is embedded within the system's MFDs. Axiom Pro RV MFDs feature internal fishfinder circuitry designed to support any of the following types of fishfinder transducers (some require adapters):
- RealVisionâ„¢ 3D Transducers
- DownVision Transducers,
- CPT-S Transducers,
- 1kW CHIRP Transducers,
- 50kHz / 200kHz fishfinder transducers designed to be directly mated to a CP370, CP300, DSM300, DSM30, or DSM250.

Axiom Pro S MFDs feature internal fishfinder circuitry designed to support a DownVision Transducer or to a CPT-S Transducer. As networks of Axiom MFDs (including DV & RV) and / or Axiom Pro (S or RVX) are designed to share all system resources, should an Axiom MFD, Axiom DV MFD, or Axiom Pro S MFD be interfaced to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD or an Axiom RV MFD which in turn has been interfaced to a compatible transducer, then the Axiom MFD, Axiom DV MFD, or Axiom Pro S MFD will additionally support the fishfinder features of supported by the Axiom Pro RVX MFD or an Axiom RV MFD.

Example 1: An Axiom Pro S MFD interfaced to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD which in turn has been interfaced to a RealVisionâ„¢ 3D Transducer and to a 1kW CHIRP Transducer will support the following fishfinder sonar features:
- RealVisionâ„¢ 3D
- DownVision
- SideVision
- 1kW CHIRP conical sonar

Example 2: An Axiom Pro S MFD w/CPT-S transducer interfaced to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD which in turn has been interfaced to a RealVisionâ„¢ 3D Transducer and to a 1kW CHIRP Transducer will support the following fishfinder sonar features:
- 600' High CHIRP Conical Sonar
- RealVisionâ„¢ 3D
- DownVision
- SideVision
- 1kW CHIRP conical sonar

Example 3: An Axiom MFD interfaced to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD which in turn has been interfaced to a RealVisionâ„¢ 3D Transducerwill support the following fishfinder sonar features:
- 600' High CHIRP Conical Sonar
- RealVisionâ„¢ 3D
- DownVision
- SideVision
