[DG] [DG11] Autohelm 5000 Pre ST drive unit

I have a rotary drive unit very similar to the type 1 units
It has a seven pin plug in the rear and a two wire red/black supply feed on the side
The unit is in an "as new" condition and since I only require a basic autopilot and this is already fitted to the boat ( Macwester 36) I would like to make use of it.
Unfortunately I do not have the original control unit and a month long search on ebay has not been fruitful.
Is there another control unit I could use? possibly a used newer variant or if possible a new unit
