[DG11] E120 - Seatalk2 AIS Receive
Hi
I need to connect an AIS (Both 0183 & 2000 out capable) unit to an E120 where the 0183 port is already taken and set to 4800 for GPS out to a VHF. So I can't change this to 38,400 for AIS In. I'd like to use the E120 Seatalk2 to SeatalkNG adapter cable to connect this to the AIS using NMEA2000 instead. Question I had is.... can the E120 receive AIS sentences via Seatalk2/NG. Thanks for your help and apologies in advance if this has already been answered but I couldn't find the answer in the forum. I did find the engine data FAQ but this didn't mention AIS. I am assuming this is possible but wanted to get your feedback. Thanks again. Matt |
