RE: [CA11] Importing FSH files - A Tedious Task?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum viben,

The A/C/E-Series Classic MFDs, C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs, and GPM400 all supported a single waypoint/route/track format known as .fsh format. As you have suggested these MFDs were further restricted to files having the name "Archive". As such, should one have had multiple sets of waypoints, routes, or tracks which combined would have exceeded the storage capacity of the MFD, then it would have been necessary to maintain this data on separate CF memory cards or to have populated the CF memory card with the desired data prior to use.

Within a related thread which you have posted, MFDs now support GPX file format and support use of multiple GPX files stored within a single microSD memory card.

All MFDs, past and present, were not designed to erase waypoint/route/track data when new data was imported from a GPX or .fsh file. Instead, when a waypoint, route, or track having the same name as one already stored within the MFD's memory is encountered during an import operation, the MFD will present the operator to overwrite the data within the MFD's memory or to create a new waypoint/route/track having a slightly different name.
