RE: [CA11] Adding EV-400 to E120 classic
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum bluebyu,

Q1. Is the A06047 cable one of the correct ways to integrate the E120?
A1. Negative. When the EV400 Autopilot was installed, a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone was installed to interface the autopilot's components to one another. It is recommended that the SeaTalkng backbone be extended via an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Backbone Cable to the location of the MFD, where it will be interfaced to the backbone (blue) socket of a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter. The SeaTalk2 (SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000) socket of the MFD will be interfaced to a spur socket (white) within the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter via an A06061 E-Series To SeaTalkng Adapter Cable. SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Cable supplied with the E22158 SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Kit will be interfaced to the SeaTalk (yellow) socket of the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter and to a D224 SeaTalk Junction Block. A SeaTalk Cable having press-fit 3-pin plugs on each end (one plug will need to be removed) will also be plugged into the D244 SeaTalk Junction Block. The SeaTalk/Alarm Cable will be unplugged from the MFD's SeaTalk/Alarm socket. Finally, the SeaTalk Cable's remaining plug will be removed and spliced to the SeaTalk/Alarm Cable (yellow to yellow, shield to black; all other leads will not be used and will be insulated to prevent shorting).

In summary, the following items would require to interface the E-Series Classic MFD to the Evolution autopilot:
- E22158 SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter Kit
- an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Backbone Cable
- A06061 E-Series To SeaTalkng Adapter Cable
- D244 SeaTalk Junction Block
- an appropriate length of SeaTalk Cable having press-fit 3-pin plugs on each end
- a compatible CF memory card containing the E-Series Classic MFD v5.69 software update.
